The Tamarind restaurant and adjacent tearoom occupy 5000 sqauare feet and seat 150 people. The layout is inspired by a streetscape in an Indian town. It’s clean and contemporary, the material palette pale and warm, creating a serene, calm atmosphere. Custom silk light fixtures infuse a soft glow and antique artifacts and textiles serve as authentic touches of colorful India.
The first Cafe Spice, on University Place in NYC, was published in Interior Design 1998. It was followed by locations in Grand Central Station and Philadelphia
The challenge here was to lure people down from the street to a hidden place. We accomplished this here with a bold entrance “gate” and a dramatically lit stair leading down. Chinoiserie served a fusion of French and Chinese cuisine. This mix inspired the color palette.
Elixir, with three locations in Manhattan, is a health oriented juice bar and new age apothecary. We won an ID magazine design award in 2000 for this project.
Our most recent shop for Joe Coffee Company is at the World Trade Center. This was our ninth location with Joe Coffee.

Tykes is a store for Toddlers and young boys with clothes, toys and equipment located in SoHo, NYC.
